.: Backyard Sunset :.

"Backyard Sunset" is a photo through a pine tree where you can see the sun setting on a field and the building in the background are of the ethanol plant. The tree branches create Actual Leading lines. It was shot at an aperture 5.2 and a shutter speed of 1/60. I used to the burn tool to saturate the sunset and to de-saturate the pine and branches. I also sharpened the photo to make it more crisp.

Very nice job on focusing on the branches. The softened background really helps to create a depth of field. You could almost go in closer to the branches to cut out some of the "noise" that is created from having so many branches in view.

  2. i like the background of this photo! you should almost try to darken the branches in the foreground to see if you can black them out to emphasize the colors. the lines are truly there, but i think blackened, they would pop!

  3. Element: Lines
    Principle: Contrast

I love the lines that the branches create across the picture and the colors! So pretty!

I agree with Vicky, darkening the branches would make it look awesome!
